Reconstruction of Hospital Road over the Nashua River

SPS successfully completed the 3 span bridge over the Nashua River in May, 2008. The work included construction of new concrete abutments and 2 new concrete piers in the Nashua River. The piers were constructed inside sealed cofferdams in the river and were founded on 4 foot diameter drilled shafts socketed into ledge. The project also included construction of a temporary utility bridge which allowed service to be maintained to the local residences and businesses.
