Westminster project reaches 30,000 hours without OSHA recordable injury.
On April 11, 2012 the entire crew from the Westminster project was recognized for their recent achievement in the companies Mission to Zero Accidents objective. The crew celebrated reaching the milestone of 30,000 hours worked without an OSHA recordable injury. From the project's commencement in August of 2010, crews have worked without any recordable injuries for 19 straight months. SPS New England Chairman and CEO Wayne Capolupo was present for the event and made it clear that, "this type of success doesn't happen without involvement at all levels. Management, Field level supervision, the work force, our sub-contractors and the project owners all have to be on board in order to achieve this level of success." The gathering allowed for a break in work where crews enjoyed a great lunch, congratulatory handshakes and the time needed for each employee to reflect on their contribution to this incredible accomplishment.
